Wraggle Taggle Ceilidh Band
Wraggle Taggle play traditional Irish, Scottish, English and American songs and tunes with flair and vitality. Their musical influences include The Chieftains, Planxty, The Bothy Band, Altan, Ally Bain, Boys of the Lough, Jimmy Shand, The Pogues, Van Morrison, The Dubliners and Christy Moore.
The band can work as a duo up to a six-piece, amplified or acoustic, with or without a caller. The core line-up of the band is guitar/vocals, accordion and banjo with other instruments added as required such as fiddle, flute, tin-whistle, double bass and percussion. Other speciality instruments such as Scottish or Irish bagpipes, bodhran are also available. Their most popular line-up for a ceilidh consists of four musicians plus a caller who will teach the dances from scratch - no experience needed! A Ceilidh is a fun way to get families, friends and colleagues together. They can concentrate on one particular style e.g. Scottish or Irish if requested.
